Is the so-called Great Reset related to humanity's next significant Shift? The Great Reset is a term coined during the 2020 World Economic Forum and in response to the ongoing global pandemic. It quickly gained supporters in prominent societal roles, including presidents, prime minsters, leaders, etc., of many countries. Given its timing, it appeared to align with humanity's prophesized Shift - from our 3-D, dualistic mindset and paradigm to a new, more interconnected state of existence.
However, the Great Reset is primarily concerned with the global economy and is essentially an attempt to transform, but maintain, elements of the old paradigm (and our society) - specifically how we use money and resources. Therefore, although it may have seemed like a positive and dramatic change for society (and indeed it may have had the potential to create a better state of existence), it has become a movement for a lesser cause and does not align with The Shift.
Humanity's Shift is still unfolding and although it may feel like a dark and difficult time at present, the global pandemic is still playing a role in contributing to our ongoing, collective awakening.
Remember that the pain and turmoil so many of us are experiencing now are part of the ascension process - because letting go of anything is difficult, even something that is harmful or that we detest (including the old-world paradigm). We know and understand why we dislike letting go of joyful experiences and the things we love: the ensuing sense of loss makes us feel sad (an emotion we experience as difficult). This could be something as simple and fleeting as finishing a delicious dessert or a more profound and lasting loss, such as the death of a loved one. Either way, a sense of loss is still experienced and grieved.
Furthermore, the Ego attaches to every 3-D experience we have, using each one to give deeper meaning to its own existence. And as the Ego does not want to 'die', or stop existing, it struggles to let go of any personal (and collective) experience to which it has attributed meaning. As well as all the experiences we enjoy, this can also include illnesses, emotional trauma, mental health conditions, inhibiting beliefs and destructive habits. For all of these experiences, as well as the joyful ones, add to the Ego's sense of meaning and existence in our current 3-D paradigm. In this sense, our Ego essentially becomes our identity - the character we are playing in this current paradigm, which wants to survive regardless.
Right now, the whole of humanity is experiencing a great sense of loss, that is, the loss of our previous way of living (in which our Ego identities have become inextricably entwined). Part of this way of living includes the many diverse roles that our ego identities enjoy playing out. At present, these roles are largely based upon the 3-D experience of reality and our dualistic mindset (elements of the old paradigm), which are extremely difficult for most of us to release - let alone become aware of and then detach from and transform. Yet this is precisely what The Shift to the new paradigm entails and requires.
For instance, you may deeply identify with (your Ego's role) of being the chief executive of a prominent organisation or the leader of a political party, as much as being a high-strung parent, with troublesome children, for whom everything seems to go wrong. Your ego identity could be a self-centered traveller, concerned only with the amazing experiences you are having in this lifetime, as much as someone playing a martyr role, selflessly caring for troubled souls and always prioritizing others' needs over their own without complaint. You may be consumed by the experience of being a struggling artist, a celebrity or influencer desperate for attention and followers or an addict or apparent nobody, coasting along without ever really being noticed.
In the new paradigm, we are asked to transform such roles and more. This does mean relinquishing our personalities, or even our individual experiences. Instead, we transform how we interact with others and become more aware of what we are contributing to society and the overall human experience. We can continue to play our diverse roles, but with far greater insight of the effects on humanity and the planet as a whole. For instance, some individuals may still play the role of world leader, or celebrity, of coping with addictions or a life-long illness, having experiences of endless good fortune or missed opportunities. But in the new paradigm, each will be played with a deeper insight and awareness of the value of those experiences, as well as what they ultimately contribute to the collective human experience.
In particular, we are being asked now to elevate our consciousness and re-establish a vital connection to the planet and all other species on Earth, to recognise their equal worth and value despite our apparent physical differences. We are also being asked to remember our shared origin in the Cosmos - our bond beyond the physical. In the new paradigm, humanity is not superior but equal and integrated, living in greater harmony and balance with the planet. Although this may sound like a naïve utopia to some, it is part of the next Shift. Many may feel a strong compulsion to reject, ridicule or even secretly fear such an existence - but this is part of the Ego's struggle to let go of the old and dying paradigm. In particular, those with powerful ego identities will experience a greater struggle now. For despite the many flaws of the 3-D paradigm, many still enjoy its experience and specifically because of the Ego's involvement. To the Ego, the new paradigm must feel like its end, its dissolution - and as mentioned previously, nothing wants to end.
However, the new paradigm does not mean an end to the human Ego (which itself has become an integral part of our make-up), but an opportunity for it to also transform. Indeed, the Ego can find renewed purpose in still playing the various roles within society, but with greater detachment and awareness. Think of it like an actor, playing a character in a fictional piece, making it feel and seem believable while all along remaining aware that they are playing a role, a character. In this sense, the Ego may even experience greater enjoyment. Yet until this is understood by the majority, it will remain a difficult transformation to make.
Although all countries are being affected differently by the current pandemic, all have been swept up in the same changes to what we once deemed 'normality'. From the banning of large social gatherings to hugging loved ones, limited travel and wearing masks in public, working from home to being locked-down in our homes; all are significant changes to the freedoms we have held for centuries - and perhaps taken for granted. And these changes have led to the unsettling experiences of shock and loss.
However, these feelings are occurring now because our previous way of living (the 3-D paradigm) has become largely detrimental to the Earth. It may have once served us well, but it is no longer sustainable. And many of our current practices and beliefs do not align with the new paradigm. In this regard, the pandemic has played a vital role in helping many of us to realize the harm we are doing to the planet (of which we are an integrated part). For instance, many remarked on changes to weather patterns, during the first series of global lockdowns, due to dramatically decreased air and sea travel (modes of transport that still rely heavily on damaging fossil fuels - additionally, the effects of humanity's misuse of resources are becoming increasingly evident in changing climate patterns across the globe). The sudden shift from our '9 to 5' working culture to a more relaxed working-from-home approach brought welcomed relief for many (while proving difficult for others) and has now likely had a lasting change on our work-life balance and mindset. Similarly, many took a break from mass consumerism and material gain, with retail and leisure effectively shutting down for large parts of the world, which allowed time out, along with lockdowns, for people to step back, gain new perspectives and re-prioritize their needs.
These may be minor examples of short-term changes to human society but they show what can change and how, when we are all involved. If we wish to continue living in harmony with the Earth and one another, we must strive for more significant and lasting changes to our society. Now is an opportunity to accept and push toward the new paradigm, rather than long for a return to the previous 'normality'. The phrase 'return to normal' is one that many of us may express at this time, however, we must understand that the previous normal will no longer serve us well and is harming other species and the planet. Indeed, this is why humanity's next Shift in consciousness is accelerating - because we need to make lasting changes now. Significant change and progress can emerge from the current pandemic, but not to reset the global economy or return to our old ways, instead to begin a real transformation of our society and humanity's eventual Shift to the new paradigm.
The new paradigm, of course, is simply a new state of consciousness, one that embodies a heightened collective awareness, allowing us to rediscover our role and place on Earth. In this new paradigm, we are carers and healers rather than exploiters and destroyers. We remain individuals but understand our shared connection on a more profound level. We develop greater empathy for all life and feel more deeply. Emerging into this state will require a significant percentage of humanity to willingly let go of our old paradigm behaviours, such as excessive consumerism, self-interest, a dualistic mindset, tribalism, ego-driven desires and superiority complexes. As mentioned, this is why the Shift will prove difficult for powerful ego identities while others will feel drawn to actively encourage these necessary changes. The current 3-D version of our Ego desires attention and drama - if what is being offered does not feel exciting enough and does not have me in a central or prominent role, there will be strong resistance. This is partly why the coming Shift is struggling to emerge - because it does not yet entice the Ego.
Below are some indicators of being stuck in the old 3-D paradigm, followed by tips on how you can gradually Shift to the new and emerging state of consciousness.
Signs of being stuck in the old 3-D paradigm:
Feeling fearful and anxious; fear-based behaviour
Promoting the self; preoccupation with you (self-centered, self-obsessed, narcissism)
Running on aggression or nervous energy
Focusing on what's wrong and feeling pessimistic and hopeless
Feelings of jealousy and envy, inadequacy or inferiority
Promoting divisiveness; feeling threatened by others' differences
Neglecting nature and the environment
Overindulging; taking and buying more than you need
Dwelling on sad and difficult emotions
Self-neglect; ignoring personal trauma or difficult feelings
Escapism and avoidance, particularly through addictive behaviours
Isolating and not wanting to take any responsibility in life
Feeling worthless or that your life is lacking purpose and meaning
Feeling heavy, stressed, fatigued, etc.
Consciously harming others or any sentient forms of life
Feeling upset, angry or guilty that you are not making enough effort*
Shifting to the new and emerging paradigm:
Actively developing your sense of empathy
Switching to a state of calm observation, particularly in stressful circumstances
Stepping back from the self-serving demands of the Ego
Releasing unsettling thoughts and feelings; allowing them to pass by like waves
Detaching from drama and seeing the truth of what is occurring, for all involved
Replacing anxiety and pessimism with joyful anticipation and optimism
Experiencing beneficial synchronicities and serendipitous encounters
Changing from a fear-based outlook to a loved-based one
Returning your thoughts to joyous and uplifting manifestations
Being more drawn to wildlife and nature; spending more time in natural settings
Feeling more caring; seeking ways to help others and the planet
Self-care and improving self-worth; moving on from destructive behaviours and habits
Feeling lighter, more energised and carefree
Feeling more connected to others, the planet and that you have a place and purpose
Looking for the best in others and helping to uncover the root of their struggles and fears
In addition to these indicators, you may like to create a list of all your old paradigm thoughts and feelings, behaviours, habits and practices. Burn this list (safely), with the clear intention of releasing them. Then create a new list of ways that will allow you to live in greater harmony with others, nature and the planet.
Understandably, this may feel like an exhausting effort - especially now more than ever and even for those souls who are already in sync with the new paradigm and making ways to transform and Shift. *It is important to note here that any thoughts or feelings of inadequacy, self-pity, worthlessness, or envy (that you are not making a good enough effort or that others are doing better than you at moving into the new paradigm, etc.) are all part of the Ego's game. Recognise that these thoughts and feelings are part of your current Ego identity and its way of attempting to maintain the old paradigm, where it feels more comfortable and important. Know that Shifting to the new state of consciousness is a choice and not a competition (as the Ego would prefer). It is a gradual process, which requires your effort and active participation - not an overnight transformation. You may, at times, find yourself easily expressing new paradigm thoughts, behaviours and feelings and at other times, experiencing the old paradigm world. This is a Shift that all of humanity is gradually taking together.
It is no doubt a time of great turmoil and struggle for humanity, but from this we can continue to learn, grow and evolve. It is also the belief of the followers of Anšar that The Shift to the new paradigm is an inevitable part of our human journey. And although it may be resisted, even delayed for a time, it will eventually come to pass for all.
In Courage, Love, Empathy, Wisdom and Peace.
